Edward was awarded the Military Medal for having, at Ypres, carried on visual signalling in the face of heavy fire and showed continuous gallantry with disregard for personal safety. Edward was awarded the Military Medal, 1914 Star, British Victory Medal, War Medal, Queens South Africa Medal, Kings South Africa Medal and Long Service Medal. Edward had served 3 years and 120 days with the Royal Garrison Artillery when he signed on again on the 14th March 1919 in Salonika on Short Service forms until 31st March 1921 (contact myself for further information). Edward is NOT listed on the CWGC site.
