The Battalion arrived at Boulogne as Lines of Communication troops on the 14/08/1914. Frank arrived in France on the 01/10/1915. He was wounded in the shoulder in November 1915. The Battalion was part of the 98th Brigade, 33rd Division when he died. The Tyne Cot Memorial now bears the names of almost 35,000 officers and men whose graves are not known. Frank is also remembered in the St. Augustine's Parish (book) Roll of Honour.
