Peter was baptised on the 05/10/1887 in St. Patrick's Church, Coatbridge. 8 days before he died Peter made a Will leaving all he possessed to his brother John. From the 1891 Census - Address - 119 Long Row, Coatbridge - John McAloon aged 45, housekeeper Jane Wilson aged 33, John McAloon aged 10, Margaret McAloon aged 5, Patrick McAloon aged 5, Peter McAloon aged 4, James Wilson aged 5. From the 1901 Census - Address - 119 Long Row, Coatbridge - John McAloon aged 54, John McAloon aged 20, Patrick McAloon aged 15, Peter McAloon aged 14, niece Jane Wilson aged 40, nephew James Bell aged 14.

The Battalion arrived at Le Havre on the 20/12/1914 and were part of the 81st Brigade, 27th Division. Peter arrived in France on the 17/02/1915. Peter is also remembered on the St. Patrick's Church (book) Roll of Honour and in the St Augustine's Parish (book) Roll of Honour.
